Short Course: APR How to Test your Riding Muscles for Riding

$39.00

Stop guessing and start testing. Are you tired of being told to “sit up” or “deepen your seat,” only to find your body won’t cooperate? Most riding issues aren’t about “trying harder”—they are about muscles that are either too weak to stabilise you or too tight to follow the horse.

This short course gives you the exact blueprint to identify your physical “blind spots.” With an expert video breakdown and a downloadable PDF testing guide, you’ll discover exactly which muscles are blocking your progress. At just $39—less than a single lesson—it’s the smartest first step you can take for your riding posture.

Description

Discover What’s Really Holding Your Riding Back

Every rider has a “strong side” and a “weak side,” but do you know which specific muscles are causing the imbalance? When you ride with unknown muscle asymmetries, your horse has to compensate for you. This leads to crookedness, tension, and a lack of clear communication.

This is the starting point for true Rider Biomechanics. Before you can build strength or “fix” your position, you must know your baseline. This course moves beyond general advice and gives you a practical, at-home assessment to find the truth about your riding anatomy.

What You’ll Master:

  • The “Why” Behind the Ache: Understand the anatomy of the core, glutes, and hip flexors specifically as they relate to the saddle.

  • Weak vs. Tight: Learn why a “tight” muscle often needs strengthening, not just stretching, and how to tell the difference.

  • The Left-Right Audit: Use our step-by-step PDF guide to perform self-tests that reveal exactly where you are asymmetrical.

  • Actionable Results: Once you know which muscles are letting you down, you can finally choose the right exercises to fix them.

What’s Included:

  • Expert Video Lesson: A deep dive into riding muscle function so you can visualise what’s happening in the saddle.

  • Practical Downloadable PDF: A “cheat sheet” of physical tests you can do in your living room to audit your body.

  • Six-weeks access

Investment: $39 AUD Knowledge is power. Stop fighting your own body and start training with purpose.

Had I not come across Applied Posture Riding I would have given up riding . Riding was painful after a bad fall , I feared it was the end of my love of riding after being told riding isn’t any good for your lower spine injury. I spent the next few months in a horrible place wondering how I was going to cope. Madly googling for physios or medical professionals that rode themselves and had delt with disc bulges and herniations. I wanted someone that understood the passion of riding. That’s where I came across an article Annie had written about equestrians and lumbar disc injuries. Annie gave me the tools to continue riding. While I’ll never be fixed or be able to do much more then pleasure riding I can still enjoy the pure joy riding gives me with little discomfort. It’s something I thought I’d never be able to do again .

Very happy with my redlight pad even though not a horse I am an overweight aged lady and have suffered with back and sciatic nerve pain for years since using this regularly it has given me much relief . Also have just had a knee replacement and it also has helped with pain relief after surgery and loosening of tight muscles to be able to move knee again and helps relieves pain after exercising and walking. Easy to use and I would highly recommend .

Highly recommend Applied Posture Riding, she has a great range of products available along with a great skill set and wealth of knowledge to help everyone with their needs. Have felt personal benifet from the red light pads and seen her work wonders first hand with riders and horses a like.

I have a battered copy (paper!) of Applied Posture Riding's ebook from many years ago that has led me through many improving exercises over the years and Annie is very generous (and positive) with tips on her webpage! In particular, I appreciate that she gets older riders and is well aware that for most of us there are times when we can't ride but still want to stay fit for riding.
