Description

Stop struggling with an unstable seat and chronic rider pain.

Most riders are told to “sit deep,” but very few are taught the actual clinical biomechanics required to do it. So many instructors use the words to do but do not instruct the “how”. This course will teach you “HOW”. Whether you are returning from a break or struggling with a long-term injury, I have designed this program to give you a medical-grade roadmap to a stable seat and a resilient body. I have helped countless riders return to the saddle after being told to give up—and I want to help you do the same. Enrollment includes 24 months of access, so you can reset your body and reclaim your skills at your own pace.

Why Applied Posture Riding?

Most instructors are experts at coaching the horse, not the rider.

I created APR because I was once that rider. I have faced the same spinal injuries and setbacks you have. I was told to give up riding multiple times, but I knew there had to be a way to “reset” the body. I used my professional knowledge as a Physiotherapist to bridge the gap between clinical rehab and elite equestrian performance.

This program is different because:

  • I teach the “How,” not just the “Do”: I don’t just use the jargon; I give you the exact physiotherapy drills to switch on the muscles required for a professional seat.

  • Injury-Proofing your Seat: I focus on stabilizing your spine and hips so you can absorb the horse’s movement without causing further damage to your own body.

  • Neural Reset: I retrain your brain and muscles to work together, bypassing the “failing core” patterns that keep you off-balance.

What’s Included:

  • The Foundation: 6 Chapters of unmounted physiotherapy exercises to “switch on” dormant riding muscles.

  • The Injury & Back Pain Toolkit: Specific protocols for managing lower back injury, stiffness, hip tightness, and the “rider’s ache.” Including manageing disc pain as a rider.

  • The Body Reset: Learn how to retrain your neural pathways to overcome old injury compensations that affect your balance. This section provides you with training to “reset’ your failing core group. Further to that you will learn specific rider movement patterns for skilled aid application.

  • Mounted Masterclass: Step-by-step arena lessons that translate your new strength into a soft, deep, and independent seat. Riding is more than “do” it “how”. these lessons walk you thrugh the “how” to apply the aids using your core and all your postural muscles.

  • 24-Month Access: Full on-demand access to revisit recovery routines whenever you feel stiff or “off-balance.”

Instructor.

I’m Annette Willson (Annie)  Physiotherapist, past  Elite Competitor, trainer of horses and riders and someone who knows exactly what it’s like to be told  to stop riding. I have faced the same injuries and setbacks you have. Multiple lower back and shoulder injuries requiring rider specifc rehab, despite being told to “give up riding” multple times.

I don’t just teach rider biomechanics from a textbook or cut and paste from an instructor who copies the language. I know the frustration of a body that won’t do what you ask it to do, and I know the fear of losing the sport you love.

I created this program because I believe (know) that an injury doesn’t have to be the end of your riding career. My mission is to help you “reset” your body using the same clinical principles I used for my own recovery. I combine my medical knowledge of human anatomy with education in rider and equine biomechanics  and decades in the saddle to help you move past pain and back into a position of strength, balance, and harmony with your horse.
